About me

I’m a product designer who switched careers relatively late, and in my opinion, it’s never too late to dive into the fascinating, rewarding (both work and $ wise) world of UX/product design. I believe in transparent conversations around compensation, work-life balance, interviewing, the realities of day-to-day life as a designer. I don’t sugarcoat things — it was a hard journey, but ultimately worth it, and there are definitely things that I wish a mentor had been able to tell me.

  • So you’ve heard that the best way to get into the industry with no prior experience is a bootcamp, but do they really work? Can I really get a job after I graduate? How intense will it be? Which one do I pick and what questions should I ask before signing up for one?

  • What should we know about the services you provide? Better descriptions result in more sales.To get any design job, you’ll have to learn how to present your work — to various groups of people, whether they’re interviewers or your product stakeholders. Learn how to create visually compelling presentations, and how to tell a story through your design.

  • Whether you’re about to graduate or are feeling blah at your current position, how do you get to that offer letter? Well, you need a resume, a portfolio with some bomb case studies and a presentation to get started — and I can help you with all of those. We can discuss salary negotiations, how to get multiple offers, and making sure that you’re getting paid what you’re worth.
